Adsorption: Adding activated carbon to the fully leaching pulp, and the activated carbon will absorb the gold in the cyanide pulp then become the gold bearing carbon. The whole adsorption operations carried out in the adsorption tank . There are various types of adsorption tanks.
Cyanide is a lixiviant, or reagent that is used to leach, often in tanks, gold from a solid matrix and form a gold cyanide complex. The gold cyanide complex is then extracted from the pulp or slurry by adsorption onto activated carbon. CIL stands for carbon in leach. This is a gold extraction process called cyanidation where carbon is added to the leach tanks so that leaching and adsorption take place in the same tanks.
Based on the mineral properties of the gold ore, sometimes acid wash is required before leaching. With cyanidation, 70% of gold can be leached out from mildly refractory sulfide ores and oxidation is not required. However, in the direct cyanidation, cyanide consumption is higher than that subjected to pre treatment . Mildly refractory sulfide ores can also produce high amount of acids which increases lime consumption in the cyanidation process.
Gold cyanidation is a hydrometallurgical technique for extracting gold from low grade ore by converting the gold to a water soluble coordination complex. It is the most commonly used leaching process for gold extraction.

Washing Thickener. Washing thickener is a professional gold cyanidation equipment for solid liquid separation and washing of pulp after cyanidation, which is divided into two layers and three layers. It has the advantages of small footprint, energy saving and simplified process flow.
This process, ideal for free milling, nonrefractory ores, is shown in Figure 2. Ore is first ground by conventional multistage crushing and ball milling, or by semi autogenous grinding , then is leached in agitated or Pachuca type tanks, using lime, Modern trends in gold processing 1259 dilute cyanide solution and oxygen.
